Dr. Israr Ahmed. A great Muslim scholar

Israr Ahmed was a Pakistani Islamic scholar, theologian, and orator known for his Quran-focused revivalist teachings and the founding of Tanzeem-e-Islami in 1975. Originally a medical doctor, he earned an MBBS from King Edward Medical College and an MA in Islamic Studies, later dedicating himself fully to Islamic scholarship. Author of over 60 books, he gained wide influence through his Urdu tafsir series Bayan al-Quran and his call for establishing an Islamic system in Pakistan. Awarded the Sitara-i-Imtiaz in 1981, his work inspired global Muslim audiences while also attracting criticism over his political views, anti-Western stance, and positions on sectarian issues.
